IAMCO is a joint venture company, founded in 1991, acting as the Industrial Prime Contractor for the depot level maintenance and the technical support of NATO E-3A (AWACS) with 5 parent companies, at that time including L-3 COM from Canada.
From 15 February 2013, the Canadian parent company Spar Group left the consortium, four (4) parent companies remain in the Board of Directors:
LEONARDO, AIRBUS Defence and Space, KLM and Sabena Aerospace own an equal number of shares in IAMCO.
